PIERCING YOU
Body piercings are carried out
using pre-packaged and sterile canula needles which are used
once and disposed of. We only use quality Titanium Jewellery
for new piercings because of it's hypo-allergenic properties
and nickel free content.
Some people can experience problems
with their piercings, like; rejection, infection and long
healing times and the odd person may have to remove their
jewellery because it will not heal at all.
Most larger ladies having navel
piercings do experience healing difficulties due to the pressure
placed on the piercing.
Apart from this there is no way
of telling how your body will react so it is a case of try
it and see. Around 5% of people experience healing difficulties.
Taking care of your piercing, and yourself, as detailed here
will reduce these risks to a minimum.
Changing your jewellery can also
cause problems Some jewellery designs and materials (eg 9ct
Gold, Silver and 316L Surgical Steel) are not suitable to
be used in a new piercing and you may have to wait awhile
until your piercing has healed before using them. Also jewellery
that is not designed as body jewellery should be avoided,
as should cheap jewellery as this often contains high levels
of nickel.
!!IMPORTANT !!
If your piercing migrates/rejects
you WILL be left with a scar, also if the jewellery is removed
and the hole allowed to heal a scar will be left. Both these
points should be considered before having a piercing especially
facial piercings.
